Expressive Content

Topic:
Language & Logic
Level:
Introductory
Abstract:

Expressive content is a currently hot research area in semantics and pragmatics, and to a lesser extent within philosophy (primarily in the guise of work on pejoratives and metaethics, but also under its own name). This course aims to provide an overview of theoretical perspectives on expressive content with a strong basis in empirical data. Students should complete the course ready to do research in this quickly expanding domain.
